EarltheScroller Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Some were wondering about the pine needles I use for my baskets. Here is an Eagle design by Landry where I am still coiling. Not a great picture but if you look closely you can see the process. The needles bundled together are what I usually use. The ones being coiled are some weird ones I'm trying--thin but very long. All of from the Southern Long Leaf Pine Trees. No needles here in AZ except very short ones. Scrappile Posted February 25, 2016 Report Posted February 25, 2016 That is very neat. I have seen pine needle baskets on the internet and always thought that would be neat to try. I have a big pine tree like a Ponderosa and every year when I rake up the needle I think about trying it. Then I burn them and think, next year. I do not think I would have the patient for it. You done very neat work of it. Thanks for posting. Hope you will post more pictures in the future. Quote
