well I got sorted so that I could try out my scroll saw at last. I think maybe I should of started with an easier pattern for a first go but never mind. I've not cleaned it up before taking this pic. I used the blade that was in the machine when I unpacked it. I think maybe I should of used a finer one for the turns, but I am happy with it considering

A little sanding it will look good. Try a #2 puzzle blade from Mikes workshop or a # 3 reverse. I've cut out a few out of oak with a #3 and didn't have to sand it at all. Very clean cut. Don't cut to fast either. Let the saw do the work. Practice makes perfect. Good luck.

You did real good here.After you get acquainted with the saw an all you can do just about anything with any blade.Some blades make it easier.

Well the way I see it is, all the legs are there and you didn't cut any ears off, so therefore it must be good.  For your first time it looks great and things can only get better from here.  :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs:
