Trip time

50 years ago a small group of college students got together and organized a College Rodeo Club and elected me president.  This weekend that college is hosting a 3 day college rodeo in their own arena and competing against other college teams.  They now have a coach and offer college scholarships for rodeo competitors.

They are having a 50 yr reunion during the rodeo so I am making the 500 mile trip to attend.  Not sure how many of the originals are still living as I haven't had contact since then.

Congradulations  president,Looks like your the lifetime member !The best are remembered,at 76 now you were in your prime back then.Your well rememberd for the job well done.

Thanks for all your kind wishes.  Got home yesterday evening and it turned out to be about 1200 miles of driving.  Had a great time and got to visit with several of the original members who were there.  Watched the rodeo but that is definitely a young persons sport.  It amazed me at how the sport has grown at the college.  They had something like 600 contestants at the rodeo.  Had a great program where everyone was recognized and was surprised to see that the largest group was members from the 60's.
