Travis, I know you showed how to do this but I can't remember where. I'm trying to print out an outline of some text. The font I have comes out in bold black. I want to change it to just an outline to cut out. I tried to change the fill which worked but how do I outline the darn thing without any fill. that is probably the clue but how do I do it? I'm using Inkscape.

Darryl, I'll try to help. Select the text. At the bottom left of the window you should see an X next to the color palette. Right click on the outline color you want and select the Line option. Next, right click on the X next to the color palette and select Fill. I'm doing this from memory as I'm not at me desk right now.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Dan. I did not know that. I haven't tried it yet, but I read on 2 sites that a red LINE is easier to see when cutting.

I just tried what I was doing all along. While holding SHIFT, click the STROKE color. Release SHIFT and select FILL. 2 ways to accomplish the same result.

I hate learning new things. I will take an aspirin now and nap for a while.
