Out With The Old.

I bit the bullet today and ordered myself a new computer.  This one is old and it was reconditioned when I got it.  It is so slow and still running XP and not much is compatible with XP any more.  I know I will have a love hate relationship with the new one for at least 6 months but it will be worth it.

Congratulations on your new toy - errr tool. One thing I hate is having to get a new computer - or updating the OS.  We tend to be creatures of habit.  I have a newer one - running Windows 8.  Hated Windows 8 when I first got it. Still haven't updated to Windows 10. Have to decide if I am doing it while I can still get that "update" for free or not.  (Heard that is going away soon.)

Well now you have a hand me down for some youngster just coming into cyber land.I have two back ups and my nice pc is just collecting dust .I got spoiled with the lap.Enjoy !

Melanie the free update finishes at the end of July.  I always hate new computers but there were just too many things not excepting XP anymore and the fact that it was so old anyway.  I know I will cry a lot and shout at it WHY DID I DO IT, but it will all be worth it in the end.

Thanks Marg.  I knew it was suppose to be soon - didn't realize it was just a couple of days away.   Guess I better decide and go ahead and maybe bite the bullet but one of my objections is that I understood that when you go to 10, you then have no control over future updates - they occur automatically rather you want them or not.  At least that is one thing others noted on another forum I am on.  What to do - what to do.
