Snowy Wolf

The pattern is by Jacob Fowler and found in CWWC November 2012.  I used a piece of Ash with very nice grain for the upright and Aspen for the base.  It is approximately 9" high and 11" long.  I used FD UR #1 for all interior cuts.  The finish is 50% BLO and two coats of spray Shellac.  Comments welcome.

Love the wavy grain in the wolves body and the aspen for the base.  Great choice of woods and great cutting :thumbs:

Thanks for all the nice comments.  I wasn't sure about the Ash, but when I applied the 50% BLO, the grain really popped with great color.

Very very nice.  I look at beautiful pieces like that and say to myself "I don't have the patience for that."     And it's a shame since I like them so much.
