Montserrat Posted October 14, 2016 Report Posted October 14, 2016 (edited) From another cutting board - this time Olive Wood from Italy, I wanted to make something really special. After hemming and hawing, my daughter thought a nativity would be nice. So I looked for something to turn into a pattern. Here is what I came up with. I put a plywood shim behind it, so it would stand out slightly. What do you think? Still need to oil it, though. edit: added a coat of BLO one day later Edited October 15, 2016 by Montserrat Lucky2, TripleJScroller, lawson56 and 1 other 4 Quote

Lucky2 Posted October 15, 2016 Report Posted October 15, 2016 Wowsa Monti, it's an exceptional cutting. There sure was lots of contour sanding in this one, what did you use to do all the sanding with? Len Quote
Montserrat Posted October 15, 2016 Author Report Posted October 15, 2016 Thank you, friends! Wowsa Monti, it's an exceptional cutting. There sure was lots of contour sanding in this one, what did you use to do all the sanding with? I shaped it with a Dremel, actually! Put the hose of the shopvac under my left arm so it would suck up the dust as i was shaping. I also added a coat of BLO today. Lucky2 1 Quote
