As was suggested by a fellow sawdust manufacturer; after the signs, I had to make wands.

They were made from the firewood pile, include apple, a few flowering cherry and some, just unknown.

The diameter at the handle is fro about 1 inch to 1-1/2 inches and the length is fro 11 or so to about 13 inches for the longest one.

Finish is paste wax applied on the lathe at high speed.

Burn marks were also done on the lathe using a sharp corner of a block and fairly high pressure, also done at full speed.

Ralph, I know it's a matter of choice, but, I think that some of your wands look to busy. If I were making them, I wouldn't do any burning on the wand shaft. The handle most definitely, but, not the wand shaft or tip of the wand. Granted, this is only my opinion, who's to say that I'm right. I think that they will be good sellers for you, what kid wouldn't want one?
