Yep!  However I solved that problem years ago.  I make up a list of things I would like.  I include the store it is at , price, color, size and a picture and the store item number................................................ ;)

Our family does that also, but not quite that detailed.  Sure saves on getting "stuff" you are not wild about.

 

A few years ago a female comedian stated that she bought her bratty niece an outfit.  The girl held it up and said, "Does anyone want this?"

I do the same, it's a simple way to get what you want. Plus, it makes it a lot easier for the shopper also, they don't have to do a bunch of shopping and still end up empty handed. I don't think I would want to go back to the no list way, simply because that way you end up getting a lot items you don't want or need.
