worbler Posted January 8, 2017 Report Posted January 8, 2017 Here's the Painted Pony I done last year as a local show entry. It is made from 6mm MDF and painted and spray varnished. I still haven't got around to hanging it on the wall. I have a few others as well that I have done over the years, as I'm sure we all do. I'll have to dig through all my old files to find the pics. Rolf Posted January 8, 2017 Report Posted January 8, 2017 Nice paint work! Isn't the MDFvery fragile at 6mm? Quote
meflick Posted January 8, 2017 Report Posted January 8, 2017 I agree, beautiful painting job. thanks for showing. Quote
worbler Posted January 8, 2017 Author Report Posted January 8, 2017 MDF at 6mm is actually quite firm, it gets a little fragile at 3mm but not so much that it will break, unless you're using a rough blade. Quote

heppnerguy Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 Painting pieces really makes them stand out. I colorize a little but with MDF it is a real must and you are covering up a natural wood coloring in the process. i like your horse a lot.. Thank you so much for posting it Dick heppnerguy Quote
