coogman Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 This bullet pen is made from two once fired rifle shells. The longer shell is a 30-06. The shorter shell is a 308. The pen kit is a slimline copper kit from woodcraft. Quote
Travis Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 Wow. That turned out really sharp! Did you collect the bullets yourself? Or are they apart of a kit? Do you have a tutorial on how to mod the bullets to accept a pen kit? Nicely done! I know a bunch of people that would like a pen like that. Quote
coogman Posted March 12, 2010 Author Report Posted March 12, 2010 Thanks Travis. This pen was alot of work but was fun to mkake. I went to a gun range and dug threw a plastic barrel to find these shells. This is not a kit. There is a guy named Sam Pane who has a very good YouTube video on how to make this pen. Type in bullet pens and his video will come up. The video is 9:04 long. Also in the fall 2008 issue of Woodturning Design there is a great article on this pen. Quote

Travis Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 I found the video. That's really cool. I'll have to see if I can find a shooting range out here. Thanks for the lead. Here's the video for those interested: Quote
