jerry1939 Posted March 3, 2017 Report Posted March 3, 2017 When typing text, it automatically sets the FILL to BLACK. I can set WHITE FILL, but that wastes a lot of ink. Is there a way to set NO FILL? The first picture is text with white fill, but the text is on the canvas and doesn't show. The second picture is of the settings (with white fill) but the text is on the canvas and not shown. Thanks, jerry Quote
Fab4 Posted March 4, 2017 Report Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Jerry See if my blurb helps you Click on Shift CTRL F it will bring up the FILL and STROKE window On the left click on FILL Then click on the X Check the fill box on the bottom lower left and it should show "none" Fab4 Edited March 4, 2017 by Fab4 Phantom Scroller 1 Quote

Dan Posted March 4, 2017 Report Posted March 4, 2017 Also, at the bottom of the window is your color palette. If you left-click on the red X to the left of the color palette it gives you the option to set fill or line color to none. Phantom Scroller and Fab4 2 Quote
loftyhermes Posted March 4, 2017 Report Posted March 4, 2017 I might be a bit thick here but I don't understand when you say that the white fill wastes ink, ordinary printers can't print white so it should only print the outline any way. happy scrolling Steve Quote

You are correct Steve. Nothing printed. Thanks for the info Friend. jerry Quote

Thanks for the info Friend. jerry That's what I was going to say - white fill means nothing prints where the "white" is unless your printer has white ink which few do. So as long as you set the fill to white or no, and give the stroke a "color" (great time to use something other than black if you prefer to have lines not be black) then it will only print the "stroke" outline in the color of your choice. Glad that Steve beat me to it. Quote
