When typing text, it automatically sets the FILL to BLACK.  I can set WHITE FILL, but that wastes a lot of ink.  Is there a way to set NO FILL?  The first picture is text with white fill, but the text is on the canvas and doesn't show.

The second picture is of the settings (with white fill) but the text is on the canvas and not shown.

Thanks,

jerry

See if my blurb helps you

Click on Shift CTRL F it will bring up the FILL and STROKE window

On the left click on FILL

Then click on the X

Check the fill box on the bottom lower left and it should show "none"

I might be a bit thick here but I don't understand when you say that the white fill wastes ink, ordinary printers can't print white so it should only print the outline any way.

happy scrolling

It never occurred to me that our inkjet didn't/couldn't print white, so I put in a colored sheet of paper and tried to print a white letter with no Stroke. You are correct Steve. Nothing printed. Thanks for the info Friend.

That's what I was going to say - white fill means nothing prints where the "white" is unless your printer has white ink which few do.  So as long as you set the fill to white or no, and give the stroke a "color" (great time to use something other than black if you prefer to have lines not be black) then it will only print the "stroke" outline in the color of your choice.  Glad that Steve beat me to it.
