Paul, I think that Brimarc were the distributors for Jet but I've heard that now it's Axminster, you could try them but being as it's an Excalibur clone maybe parts from Axminster saws will fit your Jet.

I've cut 1/8" aluminium, brass and steel with ordinary Niqua non reverse tooth blades. They wear out quicker cutting the aluminium and brass than with cutting wood but cutting the steel they wore out at an exceptional rate. It's a good job I have a load of them that are at least 20 years old (bought at the same time as my saw) and just needed to use them up.

Could be Calligrapher font.

The grommet came out of my 560, I've not replaced it and still use it. I think it's purpose is to stop the blade tensioner rattling when there's no tension.

Brenda, If the pin is a solid steel one then you could try putting a spring roll pin in. My Delta has them and they don't come out, in fact they take some getting out when needed to be removed. You can get all sizes from most suppliers even Aldi and Lidl have packs of them in now and again and cost pennies, I'm sure if you measured the length and diameter of the original pin you'll find one to fit. Brenda, yes Niqua give their blade types names, such as Pebeco are standard non reverse teeth, Speed are reverse tooth blades etc. I now mainly use the Speed blades unless I'm cutting something that doesn't warrant the reverse cut, ie. compound cutting, or metal and plastics. Brenda, the large blade size does have something to do with the breakout as does the drill bit. When drilling holes, especially when they are close together, I always use a 1mm bit and make sure it's sharp, light pressure when drilling and that the ply is hard down on a piece of sacrificial piece of wood, also when I cut a single piece of 1/8th BB ply I usually use a 2/0 or a No.1 blade, nothing larger.

Brenda, I always dip and return what's left to the tin, never had a problem with it going off prematurely even after months of not using it. What size tin are you using Brenda? I currently use Wilko's Danish Oil in 1litre tins at £11. Screwfix have half litre tins at £5.59

When my blower packed in on my saw, I used a dogs squeaky toy (with the squeak removed) stuck the pipe into the hole and fastened it under the bottom arm. If you do this and it's your dog's toy, don't let the dog see you do it, it'll be all over the workshop and bench like a rash. Don't ask why I know this.
