EarltheScroller Posted April 8, 2017 Report Posted April 8, 2017 (edited) Here is the latest on my carousel. You can now see the scroll saw work I've been immersed in for awhile. Eight sides, cut from walnut plywood. The plywood is walnut skin over mdf. Boy is that stuff dusty and hard on blades. Horses all carved from basswood. The top is temporary...now made of poster board but will be cloth. Second picture is fuzzy because lights only come on when the carousel is rotating. This is a wonderful piece. It will. I have the music on my computer and a will put a bluetooth speaker in the tent top. Quote
EarltheScroller Posted April 8, 2017 Author Report Posted April 8, 2017 That is so nice Earl! How close to finish is it? Real close. Have to make a permanent tent top and finish carving and painting three animals. Another month probably. Quote
EarltheScroller Posted April 8, 2017 Author Report Posted April 8, 2017 Thanks, all, for the kind words. It has been a fun BIG project that has kept me out of trouble for six months or so. My wife says I've been obsessed. Quote
