Montserrat Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 First stage of the VW camper from the 1960s. Work in Progress... Childhood memories. The family (father, mother, five children) used to go to church in this vehicle. But usually we had to walk home, because Dad insisted on chauffeuring little ole' ladies back to theirs. Pattern by Fred and Julie Byrnes. Found it on Woodarchivers for free but not legally so. Through the kind people in the Scrollsaw Village, I got the website and contacted them. Julie Byrnes kindly sent me the pattern. Sanding will happen another day. MTCowpoke22, Scrolling Steve, Kemaldo and 2 others 5 Quote

Montserrat Posted July 9, 2017 Author Report Posted July 9, 2017 The vehicle of my childhood is finished. The license plate commemorates the city of Salzgitter, Germany, my father's initials and his birth year. Gonzo and Phantom Scroller 2 Quote

Montserrat Posted July 13, 2017 Author Report Posted July 13, 2017 If anybody else wants to make this: Quote Hello Bea, Ive just added the VW Camper with the free pattern to my projects page. Your Camper photo looks great, especially like your use of natural woods :-) unfortunately there isn't a great choice of woods here in the uk! If any of your fellow Camper enthusiast would like to send their photos I'd be happy to include them on the site, it would be great to see the variations! All the best Julie https://www.picturesinwood.co.uk/projects/vw-camper-van/ Quote
Claymore Posted July 13, 2017 Report Posted July 13, 2017 Beautiful work and love the finishing touch of the license plate. Brian Montserrat 1 Quote
