dansnow Posted July 28, 2017 Report Posted July 28, 2017 They go for cheapest first Kevin. During my spinal issues I ended up with 3 surgeries and constant pain because the insurance and the doctors wanted to take the minimum treatment route first, then when that didn't work they tried another, and then finally on the third try got the joint fused. I find most doctors really want to help, but are often hobbled by the insurance companies. Sparkey 1 Quote

The orthopedic surgeon here is very good; and I can honestly recommend her to anyone Dr. V. Stas at Providence medical group/St. Vincent's. I had a hip -reconstruction (artificial hip 24+ years old rebuilt)--I really should have gone in 6 months before I did and my wife had 2 knees and Dr. S did a great job on all 3! Yes; unfortunately the insurance companies do tie the Dr's. hands a lot! Quote
