I am curious how many members here that live in Tennessee are within, let's say 200 miles of Memphis?  My son lives in Memphis, and I would love to go there to visit him again, next summer.   It is a great place to visit, lots to do and see.  Any way, If I knew the members within that range,  I might find a  way to make a short visit to meet.  I'm asking now, because it will take some real planning on my part.  I need time to figure it out.

Paul, I am in the Knoxville, TN area. Unfortunately for me, that means I am about 390 miles roughly from Memphis which means somewhere around 5-6 hours away from there so well outside your two hundred mile range. Should you decide to expand your trip more eastward and. Is it the Mountainous area of our great State it would be an honor to meet you. Nashville is just over 200 miles at approximately 211 miles. Since Memphis is in the far south western corner of our great state, close to the border areas there - there may be members closer to Memphis in other States not far from Memphis.

I went to Nashville the last time we were there, that was a fun place to see.

Yes, it is a fun place to see.  We lived there for 10 years and my kiddos were born there.  We moved back to the Knoxville area 20 years ago now.  I have been back in years since and can't believe how much it has grown in those 20 years. Had we not been moving "home," we wouldn't have mind staying in the Nashville area. We had a good time in the 10 years there.

I was also going to add, I am not sure how many of the other members venture over here to the " coffee house" area of the forum, so if you don't get many responses - you might put in the general area where most everyone checks. ;)

Wonder if we could do that again? Anybody interested?

I'd be interested but since we are hitting the end of Oct., with Thanksgiving, then Christmas right around the corner - then Winter - might want to think about doing it in the Spring next year perhaps.

Remind us in Feb, let's do it.  If it is 2 people or 20, would be worth the effort.  And if no one showed, Sloans is still a great experience.  Its the only Scroll Saw centric Brick/Mortar store I know of.
