Gingernut Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Hi All, I have been making wooden clocks for a few years now. And have been quite often asked if I could also offer plans and/or kits. I have now designed a clock which is ideal for the first time builder and a good test of your scroll sawing skills. You can find all details here. http://www.woodentimes.com/ If you are interested you can see my other clocks here. http://www.uhrkunst.com/ Hope you like them. Yours Dave Quote
amazingkevin Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 These are really stunning.Real works of art.I'll bet you have a waiting list a mile long! how long do they take to finish? Quote
Gingernut Posted July 6, 2010 Author Report Posted July 6, 2010 Well Thanks Kevin glad you like them. The building times obviously depends upon the clock but between 1 to 2 weeks and a further 2 weeks test run before they leave the shop. Why don´t you give the Primus a try it is not that difficult and you then have your own "made by you" work of art, think about it. Quote
amazingkevin Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 hi gingernut, wish i could start a wooden clock ,they are very inquizative to look at .Quite impress to anyone that see them .Makes you look, think, and wonder.Money is something we have'nt seen in awhile and i spent when i should not have for a used saw ,but the squeeky wheel get's the oil. Now were suffering.Wish i could think optimisticly about the future .Do you have any recipes for saw dust.My diet has changed drastically.no work here in 2 years. In 2 years i've made maybe a little over 2 thousand dollars scrolling .But it keeps me occupied till work comes Thanks for the offer though .I'll keep you in mind!Keep up the great work .I need to build a better mouse trap to generate some work! Oges Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Hi Gingernut, Im going to give your Take Tombo a try and if that goes well I will move onto making a clock. Just a question on how it works, there doesnt seem to be a trigger for it, do you just launch the propeller by turning the number 1 cog? Brett Quote
Oges Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Ignore the question, I read the last page now Will let you know how I go with it Quote
