Scrappile Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 (edited) My latest important project completed: My fully restored 1982 vintage wheelbarrow. Painted hand rubbed, Candy Lemon Yellow, Rust-oleum Enamel, trimed up with hand made oak handles painted a contrasting Early Dawn Krylon oil enamel, hand rubbed, night black accents, and pounded aluminum painted rim. Powered by one old goat.... Before the restoration started: Found in the back field of a old animal graveyard. Restored after many old goat hours of work.. Besides a new set of handles would have coast me $26! Edited November 8, 2017 by Scrappile Karl S, meflick, Phantom Scroller and 5 others 8 Quote

Chiloquinruss Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 (edited) OK, here's my question, your web name is scrappile, you are posting on a scroll saw site so you possibly have some wood related tools, so what's up with: Besides a new set of handles would have cost me $26! Nice job on the restore! Russ Edited November 8, 2017 by Chiloquinruss Scrappile 1 Quote
WayneMahler Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 Amazing job there Paul. Good choice on the colors too, looks like team colors for my home city Quote
Lucky2 Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 Nice job Paul, it looks like it's a new one. I have to replace the handles on my wheelbarrow also, I won't be painting it though, it's vinyl. Len Quote

Nice job on the restore! Russ Ha, Exactly the point, I'm too cheap to pay the $26 for handles, so I restore the whole thing, grab the oak for the handles from my "scrappile". I spend days to save $26. My son is still laughing at me. But he is from the "throw away" society! bobscroll and blights69 2 Quote

Gonzo Posted November 9, 2017 Report Posted November 9, 2017 How do you start it? . I can just picture you tooling around the yard with the hound in it. Scrappile 1 Quote
wombatie Posted November 9, 2017 Report Posted November 9, 2017 Well it won't get lost, they can probably see it from the moon. Looks great you old goat, you did a dam fine job. Marg Scrappile 1 Quote
fordamir Posted November 10, 2017 Report Posted November 10, 2017 Is that a really old one since the metal is not all one piece ? Love it..Thanks for giving it a rebirth. Really a beautiful refurb ! Scrappile 1 Quote
Rockytime Posted November 11, 2017 Report Posted November 11, 2017 I'm always a day late and a dollar short but just gotta say, I never thought a wheelbarrow could be beautiful but you accomplished it. Being cheap has nothing to do with it. You done good! Scrappile 1 Quote
