A lady who sells herbal teas asked if I could make some display stands for her.  The brief, such as it was, was that they should be sturdy and made from reclaimed timber.  This is what I came up with.

The frames are made from pallet wood and some decking offcuts.  They fold flat for storage or transport and the boxes are removable so she can store them with the tea packets in airtight containers in between events.  I had to buy a sheet of ply for the boxes but their bottoms are cut from old drawer bottoms.

I really enjoyed making them and used them as an excuse to buy myself a table saw which I have wanted for ages.  It made it so much easier.

Hi Merlin,

I had my eye on the DeWalt DW745 for ages.  Whenever I checked,  Bunnings and Mitre10 both had it at the same price ($990) but one day I found Bunnings had it at $985.  I went straight to Mitre10 who were good to their word and beat it by 15% so I got it for $830.  Very pleased with it so far.  Now I need to build a stand for it and a cross cut sled etc.
