I have the Serif Draw Plus X5 Drawing Software installed in my computer. I use it to make designs for merchandise (not woodworking) I sell Online thru my Zazzle Online Store. I have tried to find info if I can also use this software to make Patterns to cut out with my Scrollsaw and can't find any info. Does anybody out there use this software for Scrollsaw Patterns. Any help will be greatly appreciated, since I pay a yearly subscription for this software.

Thanx, Guy

Serif is not well known here in the states, I have it and use the heck out of pageplus X9.  Never thought about using draw for patterns though, may give it a try one day, thanks for making me think of it.

While I have not used Serif Draw myself, I am aware of one lady who uses it to design a lot of cutting files for electronic die cutting machines commonly used to cut paper.  Most of the cutting files created for those files are easily used with a scroll saw as what is cut out with the cutter would be the same as with a scroll saw.  I would suggest that you sit down and look at some scroll saw patterns and then see what you can do with the program.

I have the same program and find it difficult to get help.  I have done some patterns on a small scale and used it for changing patterns.  Only problem is I have for some time be

out of touch with making patterns and scrolling and trying to get back to both memory bit fuzzy.  I am also not very clued up.  Have you tried the internet help or teaching aids.  I use it throw my program.  Where it says about how to use it.

Just want to thank all the people that responded to my question. While playing around with the program I found that the NODE button directly below the arrow in the menu bar on the left side of page, works great in moving the letters in project closer together for the ability to cut out the words and stay attached with a scroll saw. Still experimenting, LOL

can we try to learn from each other as I am still trying to work it out.  I don't know anyone who knows the program but I like it just not very good at it.  I have been away from it and trying to get back.  I seem to find I understand and work better at this one
