  1. My mag sheet from Amazon. I was not sure it would stick magnetically, it did, but if not I was going to use double sided tape on the corners. Hole size is up to you
  2. Based on the pic MarieC posted, I've always called them a "Corner Cat" I have a corded one from long ago by Rypobi, never failed me, works great, and not too much of a vibration. I Looked it up just now, mine does not look anything like what is being sold today, funny, but today's cordless version looks like, and they also sell the corded version too.
  3. I guess I misunderstood, I thought you specified a flap mop, not that you wanted to remove fuzzies from fretwork. I use one of these to clean up fretwork and contour shapes. Available in several grits, but I find 180 to work fine https://www.amazon.com/sanding-mops-woodworking/s?k=sanding+mops+woodworking Scrolling down to the multipack called Mixiflor I also use those for the really hard to get to areas and fine detail
  4. @Wichman Have you tried Amazon, They have like 20 pages of flap sanders, mop sanders, etc
  5. I tried the blue tape for stack cutting, then one day someone mentioned hot glue, so I tried it. For me it works so much better. I put a dab of hot glue on each side, by the corner and the middle while clamping the wood together. A razor knife separates them when I am done and a small block plane removes any left overs.
  6. do a search for the excaliber scroll saw stand, all including mine are 4 legs and mine is rock solid
  7. Sorry about that, forgot the bottom image
  8. @OCtoolguy Pasting the link here just shows the video graphic, so I am not sure what you mean by Try it this way. @BadBob I as not aware of that, thanks that makes it much easier. I normally just right click and my browser allows for copying the link.
  9. @FrankEV That had to be the best sled I have seen, both the video and the actual construction, Thank you for that. For those who need it the actual youtube video link is ROFL, this forum does not allow the link to show, but paste all this together with no spaces https://youtu .be /CJCSA2SZt5s "
  10. Kevin I had another thought, check home depot, etc for Door Skins.
  11. Only thing I have seen is something called underlayment at Home Depot, about 5mm thick I think. Just over 3/16 of an inch
  12. RIP Rocky, those words do not convey the actual depth of feeling, but I think you know that.
  13. Time does fly, I just checked as well and I joined in 2015. I rarely post anymore, not sure why, but I enjoyed this community immensely as I learned and progressed. I know I learned a lot here, and I hope I returned some of what I learned to others. I kind of wish JT was back, I enjoyed the contentious spirit between him and Kevin, and I also learned a lot from him too. Back to lurking I guess
  14. Like this you mean? Or an extruded car? or
  15. Ok, color me confused. Someone please explain the exact difference between marquetry and inlay. I only see one difference and that is that marquetry uses veneer. And it often is just a hand held coping saw or xacto knife Both use the bevel style cut where the blade is an an angle to the base.
  16. I have no problem using the sawtooth picture hanger, just put it on the piece upside down (sawtooth pointing up) But be sure to buy this type of saw tooth hanger the little rectangular slots work fine for hanging
  17. Toy cars, puzzles
  18. Truly wonderful work, kudo's
  19. Beautiful work
  20. First check the homeowners policy for " full replacement coverage", if you do not have that then the insurance will depreciate everything first. Rolf, from your postings you have some really nice costly tools so it might be worthwhile to do it. You still need a list, a photo list to prove you had the items, but details of cost and purchase date not so much. As far as supplies, blades, wood, etc, they should be listed in your business accounting.
  21. I agree the eight sided one is terrific
  22. Seems to me that you are confusing progress with change, or at least change for change sake. {smile}
  23. The red santa and the green border work well, I especially like that the green in toned down and does not distract from the cutting
  24. Great cutting, and a really nice pattern featuring WW1 soldiers. it's just me, but I wish the rifle was pointed up, No soldier I know or knew would put the muzzle down on the ground.
