Popular Post Jo Labre Posted November 19, 2017 Popular Post Report Posted November 19, 2017 I guess I am kind of a 'lurker' in this group, I don't usually post photos here. But, I just finished The Guardian pattern by Bruce Worthington and am happy how it turned out. Thought I would share a couple of photos. Karl S, Phantom Scroller, JimErn and 10 others 12 1 Quote

Oh how I wish she had all the wood you guys have.......we are quite limited here and if you do find them they charge a fortune for them......hence reason I use so much Oak and Sycamore The Dragon is one of the nicest designs I have seen. ScollSaw Slasher Posted November 21, 2017 Report Posted November 21, 2017 Love it. What woods did you use? Striking to say the least. Jo Labre 1 Quote
Jo Labre Posted November 21, 2017 Author Report Posted November 21, 2017 The wings are ash burl with sapele ribs. Used streaky poplar, an unknown (unidentified?) streaky wood and ribbon mahogany for the body. Regular poplar for the horns and spikes. The streaky poplar came from my brother in law in Upper Michigan. The tree was growing in the rocks along the fence line and had amazingly strange streaks throughout. Quote
meflick Posted November 22, 2017 Report Posted November 22, 2017 Another beautiful version of this Dragon. Thanks for sharing. Jo Labre 1 Quote
