wombatie Posted January 18, 2018 Report Posted January 18, 2018 On Boxing Day all of our family were here. I was mucking around with my almost 15yo grandson. My left ankle ended up bruised and very swollen. So two doctors visits and one lot of xrays it was finally back to its nomal size and bruise gone on Sunday. Monday we went to a Memorial service for a friends husband. It was held in an up stairs function room at a golf course. Anyway we were leaving and we had come down the two flights of stairs, no problems then at the last step before the door, I missed it and went down like a sack of potatoes. Went to doctors on Tuesday, then to xrays. Back to doctors on Wednesday there may be a broken bone in the crease of the foot. Have to go and get an ulta sound next week. Anyway I am on cruches with a foot that looks like a squirrels cheeks, bruised and limping again. Needless to say, NO SCROLLING Marg meflick, Lucky2, jollyred and 1 other 1 3 Quote

Fab4 Posted January 18, 2018 Report Posted January 18, 2018 Hi Marg: What foot do you scroll with? On this side of the pond we use our hands Sounds like you need a nice comfy chair to sit in while you scroll Either way, wishing you a speedy recovery In the meantime, leave your grandson alone until you heal, then you can kick his butt Take Care Fab4 meflick 1 Quote

MrsN Posted January 18, 2018 Report Posted January 18, 2018 ICK!!! I hope you heal up soon. I sprained my foot a few years ago. I was off work for a few days because of it. I moved some boxes and stuff and made an foot rest next to my saw and was able to cut with my foot elevated. My husband said I looked ridiculous with my foot up and being iced while cutting, but I was having fun. wombatie 1 Quote
tgiro Posted January 18, 2018 Report Posted January 18, 2018 Ouch, Marg - I can feel that. You'll have to move that foot pedal over to the right foot for awhile. Keep getting better - we're thinking of yoiu. Quote

wombatie Posted January 19, 2018 Author Report Posted January 19, 2018 I do sit down to scroll but I have 2 steps that I have to negotiate to get out of the house and into the garage and the doctor suggested I stay inside until after the ultra sound. Plus it is very hot out there at present it's 100 F plus. Marg Quote

Marg Bummer Marg, you could always sit down and scoot down the stairs like my kiddos (and most kiddos no doubt) did when they were little and learning to walk and navigate stairs. whew - I think I'd rather have my bone chilling cold temps we have been having then 100 plus F. We are having a heat wave now for winter - up to 56 today. After being below freezing and into single digits most of past week. Way below our "norm." I think our normal high is around 47 F.
