nrscroller Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 Hi all My old psp program won't run on windows 7. I am trying to use paint.net to resize patterns. Are there any simple instructions that I can print out and follow. I don't understand this aspect ratio thing and when I go to print in windows 7 I get this stupid window that wants to know what size photos I want. I just want to print out the resized pattern in a simple way. Thanks Bill new2woodwrk 1 Quote
new2woodwrk Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 (edited) Here ya go Bill: Tutorials I use paint.net. At the bottom of the window you should see an "options" link -it's pretty small. From there you can set your printer preferences. When I print I choose full - don't forget to uncheck the "Fit picture to frame" at the bottom hope that helps somewhat Also - forgot to mention: "In Windows 7, Paint.NET does not have a way to print "actual size". However, if you save it, then read it into MS Paint there is a page setup that will let you set the scaling to 100%. If you then print, it will print it actual size." Or you can make the image into a pdf and print it actual size that way as well I use the ms-paint method myself - it's easier and faster Edited February 2, 2018 by new2woodwrk Jim Finn 1 Quote
OCtoolguy Posted February 6, 2018 Report Posted February 6, 2018 I use a free program that has been around forever called IranView. It does so many things as far as working with pictures etc. It's not a "paint" program but you can do a lot with resizing images. R Quote
Falcon Posted February 6, 2018 Report Posted February 6, 2018 I use foxit reader (free) a pdf program. Just drop your pattern in and you can make it as big as you want. OCtoolguy 1 Quote

OCtoolguy Posted February 19, 2018 Report Posted February 19, 2018 Foxit is a great program and they stay on top of it with updates. I use it as my default PDF reader. Great program. Ray Quote
