  1. Looking for the full database of old ssw magazines as I have a lot of them and would like to be able to find different patterns without digging foreever Thanks Bill
  2. I used the 45 craft spray from 3m a few years ago. You want a better idea with no cummy wood to sand....try this..... Buy clear shelf contact paper at walmart in rolls, sand your wood, cut piece to fit on wood urface. Take your pattern and copy it onto full size packing labels, then stick that on top of the contact paper and when your done cutting just peel it all off and wood is clean. I have been doing this for years and it works well. If you have small patterns, just put more than one on the shipping label and cut that down to size after printing pattern out. Bill
  3. Congrats on the hegner, I got one years ago, brand new 18 inch with quick release and the stand for 500 bucks and drove 4 hours each way to get it. I am still using it.

  10. Wow!!! Congrats, That is a lot of work!! I know, I made some hearts a few years ago and they had a lot of hours in them.
  11. I took my guards off all saws I have owned, it is actually harder to turn and cut with them on and thankfully I haven't had an accident over the years.
  12. I purcahsed the Beaur Saw today at Harbor FReight and for the money it is ctioa very nice save. The Kobalt and Performace Saws are junk, this is all metal covers and very well made. It took me a short time to set it up and it came with a 1/4 inch blade. For the money if your looking for a budget saw this is the one to get. I just cut some bb plywood to see how it would do. The only thing I did not like is the instructional manual is not real clear and not enough diagrams for different things, especially setting the blade guide blade rollers. I called them at their headquarters and they are going to email me more information on it. It has a very easy tension lever also. They don't carry the blades yet but you can get the blades at Menards. it takes from 1/8 thru 3/8. Also saw is very quiet running. Just my 2 cents worth., I don't do a lot of heavy sawing so that will serve me fine. Bill in Wisconsin
  13. I buy full shipping labels from amazon and print more than one pattern to fill out the label and it goes through my laser printer. I put contact clear paper on my wood first, then stick label pattern on that and it all comes off when done with a simple pull and wood is clean. Bill
  14. Hi check with a full service paint store, I got a bunch of replacement nozzles for cans at one cheap and they work well Bill
  15. I have had my hegner for many years and love it. That quick clamp is ideal also.
  16. I use 1/8 in baltic birch plywood and it's great for ornaments Bill

  18. Rockler woodworking also has this for turning purposes Bill
  19. HI all, I took a spare floor brush from my shop vac and mounted it under my table by the base of the saw with the hookup pointing down and ran the hose to my dust extractor and it works just perfect. I also hooked my dust blower to a small airbrush compressor and its all hooked up to my floor foot switch, when I hit the peddle it all goes on. Bill
  20. I have used a Hegner for many years and I suggest you get the quick clamp for the top blade holder from Advanced Machinery, it is well worth the money and will make your top blade clamping a lot easier. Bill

  22. Hi all, I thought I might try an Alex Fox pattern, anyone know what he puts his patterns on and then just sticks it on the wood? I wonder if it is full size shipping labels or what, it's something that peels off. Thanks Bill
