So of course I got my new saw set up and ready to go and the dust blower segmented hose is broke!

The first segment is broke in half - I removed it by soaking the piece in warm water.

The problem now is I can't get the hose back on the saw connector. The pics are a bit blurry - I don't have a camera that can take pics that close

Even warming the segment up, it won't "snap" onto the nipple.

Thanks in advance for help

I was going to tell you - heat a little bit warmer and push a whole lot harder.  However, since you got it on I won't tell you to heat a little bit warmer and push a whole lot harder.

I use a hair dryer to heat the joints. There is a tool available to snapping the joints together.

I did it without heating it for a neighbor who wasn't able to get it on by herself. It is very tight but it can be done. Another thing I found out. At least on my Dewalt, when I built the vac system for mine, the blower tube was in the way. The cover under the arm that it connects to is reversible but just removing two screws and turning it 180 degrees. Now, it's on the right side instead of the left and totally out of the way. Just a bit of info for anybody interested.

Cool - I think the Delta is the same way.

However, because of how I set up the dust ctrl, I want the blower on the left - it blows the dust into my dust system on the right and below

I'll be posting pics in a bit of what I did if you're interested
