Here is my next practice. This is another one I wont cut because I know Carmel would not be too happy with her image. I've started trying another photo of the two of them so we'll see how that turns out.

I'm trying to find out how to delete old projects. The above project takes up 23.9 MB. I have other ones that take up 70 and 80 MB. I can not find any instructions on how to delete a whole project. Even if I delete all layers and all photos, the file size does not get any smaller on the 'Open Image' dialog box. If no one knows how to delete a project then I will have to delete GIMP itself and reload it again to start fresh.

Bob,

I do not think you can delete directly from Gimp.  You will need to find where the projects you want to delete are saved in your computer.  Then you can delete them as you would delete other images y from your computer.  For example: Let's say the above project is saved as Carmel.jpg.  Find Carmel.jpg in your computer files and delete. That should take away all you have saved for that project.

Thanks Dan, I start each pattern with positiveness, then I look and look and look again and then decide it did not deserve so much positiveness at all, so its been relegated to the practice realm. My brother would not mind if I added all those lines into his portrait but Carmel  would not be happy so its a no go. However its just so easy with digital to find a new photo and start again. As it happens I have engaged the services of one of the top pattern producers from the village to assist with advice, however I am contractually forbidden to reveal his (or her) identity at this stage so that he (or she) can continue to live in peace in Ohio.

I've ticked Bandsaw boxes off my long list of things to do so now I'm back to my original love, thats scrolling if you were about to ask.

I've worked on Carmel's portrait again and I think she will be happy with this version. I'll post it when cut.
