Iguanadon Posted April 19, 2018 Report Posted April 19, 2018 No matter your thoughts about Facebook, it's an excellent way to share your work and stir up interest. Where I live there are a couple of public groups dedicated to our town/island and I share things on there now and again. Today I posted this asking for feedback... It's a great way to make a post really get hopping. I shared 5 new puzzles I'll be displaying at a local event in a couple of weeks and asked for input so I'd know which ones to make more of... In just a couple of hours I had 28 "likes" and over 25 comments from folks sharing their favorites. So, the bottom line is, when you can, don't just "share" something, ask for input or feedback in some way and it'll get things rolling. Roberta Moreton, meflick, jbrowning and 2 others 5 Quote

Iguanadon Posted April 22, 2018 Author Report Posted April 22, 2018 Update#2 - I've had over 100 people comment with their favorite(s)... I hope they don't all show up to the event May 5th, there's no way I'll have enough on hand. LOL kmmcrafts and WayneMahler 2 Quote
kmmcrafts Posted April 22, 2018 Report Posted April 22, 2018 I guess another reason I should sell at shows.. I tried the FB thing like that.. My results wasn't close to what you got but I did get a few orders from it.. When I did it it came across them as spamming because I left a link to my site.. But I did ask what other kinds of car clocks people would like to see.. I did it on a real popular classic car group I'm on.. I probably wouldn't have done it other than there was a dozen others doing the same thing.. though it was for key chains.. custom made car parts and like that.. not clocks.. I'd do more of that if I sold local and could say I''l be at X craft show.. But it gets difficult trying that and leaving a link to a site, LOL Great idea for the local sellers though.. Quote
