Revised Dust Collection

Well it is a slow evening so I'll just post my revised dust collection I made today. I made two arched blocks containing rare earth magnets. the arch at the rear of the saw has 1/2"X1/8" magnets. The front has 3/4"X1/8" magnets. Rare earth magnets are STRONG! The system really sucks.

Rare earth magnets sure have found a place in a lot of woodworking shops. Putting the hose right next to the down stroke of the blade should be very effective.

Should work well to collect the dust below the table, but you also need to collect the stuff above the table. That is the dust that becomes airborne and settles everywhere including your lungs. Here’s what I did.

Your system certainly is complete. You are correct that there is a lot of airborne dust. I will be getting another gate and wye to continue upgrading.
