A work in progress and a gift from a grandpa to his granddaughter.  My first post-op project.  Can do about 90 minutes to 2 hour at a time (per day that is).

Thank you guys, your praise is generous as always.  Today I made more word art, which grandpa asked for, and I started some shaping.

Got finished shaping it today and glued it to a piece of purple heart.  Now to see if he wants me oil it or if he will finish it himself in his cabinet shop.

Now to see the appreciation in the eyes of the recipient, who ordered it for his granddaughter, and who works with wood professionally, was so great.  He really could appreciate the work that went into it, the intricacies of the scrolling and sanding and he commented on it.  That alone was a great delight to me and a great personal compensation.
