GrampaJim Posted September 28, 2018 Report Posted September 28, 2018 The Hegner won me over. https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/tls/d/dewalt-scroll-saw/6709897503.html OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted September 28, 2018 Report Posted September 28, 2018 Good luck on your sell. And I can understand the Hegner winning you over, but if one can, it is really nice to have 2 saws. I have been selling things on Craigslist lately. So far I have sold everything I have listed and sold them fast. That suggests to me I am selling too cheap,, but there is a move in the future and I have almost 40 years in this place... lot and lots of stuff that I really do not want to move nor will I have room for. OCtoolguy Posted October 3, 2018 Report Posted October 3, 2018 I sold my Hegner in less than 24 hours. I doubled my money and then some. Very happy. Now, I'll be on the look out for another one that runs the way I think it should. Good luck with yours. Your Dewalt is only the second one I've seen with the tubular stand. Mine was the first. I love mine. Quote
GrampaJim Posted October 4, 2018 Author Report Posted October 4, 2018 It's been a good saw for me for a lot of years. Scroll saws don't sell fast around here, and I may have to lower the price. Craiglist has a lot of used Craftsmen saws for $50 to $120. OCtoolguy 1 Quote

It takes a person that knows what they are looking for to spend more than a couple hundred on a scroll saw.. I've bought and sold many lower end saws.. The higher priced saws around here will set on craigslist for months.. I know if I were looking for my first saw.. I more than likely would buy a cheap $50 sh saw too... but now that I've had some years at a saw... I rarely even look at the cheaper saws now.. there is one that has been on craiglist ever since I bought my first Hawk 2 years ago.. but he hasn't budged on price either.. Like new 226VS for like $750 or close to that.. He just keeps relisting it.. sooner or later someone might nab it up.. he has firm price on the ad too.. DeWalts are good saws and have quite a reputation in the scrolling community.. they seem to hold their value quite well.. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
