wdkits1 Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Here are a few more of the garden signs that I've been making using my custom scrolled stamps technique. Having to make 2 dozen of each pattern has been challenging but now that I've got the system down to a science it is going quite well. My client is happy with the signs and seems to be selling quite a few in her shop. Quote
amazingkevin Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Hello mike , those stamps look great . Does the paint you dip them in ,need to be like buttermilk thick or thinner. and how do the edges look ,clean straight line or wavey.Stamps i've done before came out wavey.just curious they look so good and funny too.!better than a sign shop! Here's one for you -"Here lies all stiff and hard ,the last damn dog that pooped in my yard" Quote
wdkits1 Posted November 4, 2010 Author Report Posted November 4, 2010 Hi Kevin The paint that I use (FolkArt Enamel) comes in a little squeeze bottle and is very thick. I use a piece of foam brush and dab it on the letters then press it on the wood blank. Takes less than a minute to stamp each sign. As a matter of fact I have to do a different version of the dog saying---Here lies the last dog that pooped in my yard. I may use your saying instead--funnier!!! Quote
