I usually don't do holiday-themed stuff....holidays are just another date on the calendar for me, for the most part....some of them come with an extra day or so off work to play in the garage (if my wife allows).

1 gallon Ziploc bag.  Drop the project in, pour in some stain, and commence to slooshing it around until no more pale wood shows.
