OCtoolguy Posted November 10, 2018 Report Posted November 10, 2018 (edited) I tried searching in the pattern library but so far, me and the search feature here don't see eye to eye. My wife wants me to cut out a Grinch figure for our front porch railing in the 24 inch range. So far everything I've found online is in the 6 foot tall range. I know someone on here must have cut out a Grinch at some point. PLEASE!!! Something like this without the words would be great. The only lights we have are in the form of a tangled up ball that we hang from the rain gutter. So, it would be neat to have something like this to put right under them. ChelCass Posted November 10, 2018 Report Posted November 10, 2018 I found this on Pinterest, would she like something like this to go under the Christmas lights? You could also google Grinch silhouettes. OCtoolguy 1 Quote

OCtoolguy Posted November 12, 2018 Author Report Posted November 12, 2018 Thanks to both of you for your help. I think I found on just doing a search for images on Google. I scaled it to the size I need and did a poster print using Acrobat. The pattern will be on 6 sheets of paper. Thanks again folks. SSV ROCKS! Quote

Well, let me tell ya, after owning a Hallmark Card and Gift Shop for over 6 years, my wife and I became pretty "anti" holiday. Me more than her because it meant having to put up with small children and their parents. Anyway, with that said, I have always been the Grinch only in human form. kmmcrafts 1 Quote

She has me making some Christmas gifts and also something for her besides the Grinch. It may not happen this year but I am going to give it the old "college try". ChelCass and meflick 2 Quote

You sound sort of like me... with doing craft shows... and one reason I just don't do them.. My first show I ever did was a outside show and there was a couple of kids.. plenty big enough to know better.. and the parents never said a word.. these kids was playing tag.. one kid turned to run and get away from his buddy and ran smack into my table.. now since it was my first show all i had was a old wobbly card table.. he knocked every single thing i had into the ground.. he turned around as he was running and at least said sorry but never can back to help pick up anything.. nor did his parents even say anything to me or the kids.. lucky nothing got broke.. Second show had kids pawing at everything I had out there and running off with it to show his parents.. and another kid did the same thing but had a very sharp letter opener and was running with it... I haven't tried the shows ever again.. I've always did my best to watch my kids and always made a point to tell them not to touch stuff without permission... Not all parents but most of them these days just let the kids run wild.. OCtoolguy 1 Quote

I have found over time though that if I can get eye contact with them and a stern look on my face, they straighten right up. I have gone so far as to "hunt" them down in a Walmart store. There was a brat acting up a couple of aisles over from us but it seems like they were right next to me. Anyway, while my wife was looking at something I wandered until I found the offender. I got close enough to the woman's cart where her "little darling" was sitting and screaming while Mom paid no attention. Once I was within about 6 feet, the little turned and saw me glaring at her. Eye contact was made and I pointed my finger at her with a very mean look on my face. She stopped immediately. Her Mom looked to see why she had clammed up and saw me. She said something to me about minding my own business. I told her I would be glad to once she started minding her bratty kid. She huffed and puffed and took off. I am just not going to put up with bratty kids that are in my space. And I consider it my space if they are close enough to me that it is bothersome. Oh well...................now I've done it. Go ahead, let the rain begin. I'm waiting. kmmcrafts and ChelCass 1 1 Quote

I get a lot of flack from "those" parents telling me all about how well behaved their little darlings are. I was raised to believe that children should be seen and not heard. What ever happened to that theory? ChelCass 1 Quote
