Hello,

Google image search, when you use the right settings, is a pretty good way to find free patterns for scroll saw, wood burning and other crafts.

But many crafters aren't aware of this, so I made a little website that automates it:

http://findfreepatterns.com/

It's a simple thing, but some might find it handy.

At the least you can usually find a line drawing to base a pattern on.

Very clever site. Thanks for sharing. Just as a reminder for those who use it, though. Just because its in Google's image search doesn't mean its copyright free. Be sure to check the license before using the image.

Thanks for the help with finding free patterns, there are some sites there that I have never been to before. It will definately make the job of searching for a specific subject more complete. But you have to be careful or you will do what I just did and that is to go check out the site for just a "minute" and almost forget where you were in the first place which is here at SSV, so I would suggest that it be bookmarked for a later time. Not SSV time or you will never get through either site properly.

Some of the images on there are not free patterns. I clicked on one and then clicked go to site and it took me to the website that it was for sale on. Make sure it isn't an advertisement for a pattern that is for sale or you may wind up thinking that a pattern that is for sale is a freebie.
