OCtoolguy Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 (edited) I have never "created" a pattern so I'm asking for some help here. My wife has had this Christmas decoration for many years and I have always liked it. I want to make some for friends and whoever else might like one. Here are two pics I just took. The overall dimensions are 15" long by 4 7/8" tall at the highest point. The depth doesn't matter but it is about an inch to an inch and a quarter. I'll make it out of 3/8" or 1/2" BB ply. Any help is greatly appreciated. At some point, I'm going to master Inkscape so I can do this myself. Also, if anybody on SSV wants to make this once we have the pattern, feel free. I have no idea where it originated so trying to give the artist some recognition is sort of impossible. Edited November 28, 2018 by octoolguy ChelCass 1 Quote

Tom I tried that but it's too wide and too thick to get a decent scan. I imported it into Inkscape, I did a path bit map trace but I have no idea what to do next. The bit map is so populated with nodes, it's unuseable. At least for me who knows nothing. I want to make this but I don't know what I'm doing. Hoping somebody will see this and help. Quote

worbler Posted November 30, 2018 Report Posted November 30, 2018 It's easy enough to trace but is it something we should be doing. If no one objects to it I can whip it up shortly. Quote
worbler Posted November 30, 2018 Report Posted November 30, 2018 Well, here it is. It might need a little tweaking. Foxfold, bobscroll, JimErn and 2 others 5 Quote
