My lattest project

Here’s some stuff I did today with pallet planks. I sanded them down. I think it is Pine. I read that most pallets are Southern Yellow Pine or Oak. Doesn’t look like Oak to me. Tough as nails to cut too. I think I’ll do a lot more with these since I have a bunch of pallets handy. Only thing is I’m size restricted.

I like it better with the crooked BE. It’s creative!

Here’s some stuff I did today. Gotta say, Poplar wood sucks. Doesn’t take the Danish oil well at all. Just gobbles it all up and turns in to a brown turd. I’m going to re-do the wolf and bird in Oak. So it matches the Indian, which looks a  lot better IMO. The Indian and Wolf I did a couple weeks ago, the bird is new today.

The “Love Wine” is from pallet planks that I pried loose and sanded. Not sure what wood they are but it’s tough as all get out. Typically pallets are made from Southern Yellow Pine or Oak. Might have one of each here. I’ve got plenty of pallet plants to use too. They are good for words it seems. Some are heat treated so would be good for anything really. Indoor/outdoor.

The “Man Cave” is 1/8 plywood of some type, can’t remember. But it sucks too. Cuts like butter though, but flakes easy, very delicate. Won’t be getting that anymore. Somehow I gotta glue or pin or secure those two pieces together - Man & Cave
