Christmas Bells

I have been making these personalized Christmas  bells for the last seven years or so.I make them from1/8th birch ply,paint them white 

and spray them with glitter.sell at flea narket,local buy and sell and word of mouth for $5 each.Each year I figure sales will die off

but people love their names...this year I made and sold 236 bells.

Lovely, how do you paint them so nice ? Whenever I've tried painting it looks like an Irish man has done it after 3 pints of Guiness.   and believe me I know, I married an Irish man.

Hi Brenda,what I use us a 2 inch foam brush and a 1 inch bristle brush for insides.But I think the secret is that

I sand them with 320 grit paper.also I give them 2 coats with a quick rub with 320 between coats.

I saw the ones that I cut a couple of years ago thanks to your generosity in doing the patterns for me, my daughter hangs them on her tree.  Great work Gordie and heres to another 236 next year.

It is amazing how people do like getting things with their names on them or simply their names cut in wood. Nice idea for the ornaments.
