Popular Post munzieb Posted January 24, 2019 Popular Post Report Share Posted January 24, 2019 Finished the Alex Fox pattern of Barn and Pickup for my B-I-L. He should get it in a few days. The pickup and Barn cutting was not too bad but the blade pulls for the bushes and the meandering lines for the pine trees got to be a little tedious. Lots of traveling with the blade(s). I used a 2.0 puzzle blade and went through 8 to finish. They are very fine and wear out pretty fast but I can make some sharp turns. 10.5 x 14 1/8" BBPW on 1/4" backer. BTW, Things can get pretty floppy with all the cutouts. Stick them back in and blue tape them back in place and orbital sand them from the back... No fuzz when done. I contact spray the back of the cutting, and a bead of CA glue on the edges {and small weak parts} and mount on the painted (acrylic) backing. I have 2 Pieces of tempered glass and wedge together with some 15# weights and let it dry for a while. All good! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I also love that pattern but don't think I could get to it if I wanted to right now. The one word description I would use here would be, MARVELOUS.
