amazingkevin Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 this has got to be the ultimate project. I mean we all can do portraits, cars etc but to hand craft someting that acually does a deed is very rewarding ,and daily recognition of the fruits of your labor are seen looking at it.A real tinkerers toy.Time proven tradition of do it your self came a long way from the sundial! How many of us want to that that step forward to try this project, but don't make the move,me included.Greasemonkeysdredneck chandelier i'd love to have hanging on my ceiling in the bedroom to dream away time looking at the complexity of it .Same go'es for the clock.A work of working art.Makes your mind thing and think and think disectingit with your eye's.Malc ,you stepped on the moon doing this clock. You braved the unknown!thanks for showing us you have the guts to do the impossiable ! malc Posted January 14, 2011 Author Report Posted January 14, 2011 My task is complete! Clock now fully working and installed. I hope you have enjoyed the journey as much as I have making it. Unfortunately I have now got the taste for clocks and am pouring over plans for the next one, a grandfather to stand in my hall. It is fitted with the complex 'Grasshopper' escapement and I think will test my scrolling skills to the limit. Final two videos are in this post. Malc Quote
