Rob Posted June 28, 2019 Report Posted June 28, 2019 I recently acquired a wood lathe and have turned a few pieces. This bowl is 17cm by 6.5cm or 7 inches by 2.5 inches approx. It is turned from Rewarewa, a native New Zealand timber with a very distinctive grain. Thanks for looking, Rob amazingkevin, jollyred, jerrye and 4 others 7 Quote
Woodmaster1 Posted June 30, 2019 Report Posted June 30, 2019 Love the grain pattern looks a little like quartersawn sycamore. Rob 1 Quote

Scrappile Posted June 30, 2019 Report Posted June 30, 2019 That is a beauty! Like Woodmaster1 wrote, I've seen Sycamore wood with similar grain, only a little lighter color wood. Rob 1 Quote
