According to Wiki, 446 in total, just within the city limits.  This is the highest number of bridges within any city in the world.

River on the left is the Allegheny.  The one on the right is the Monongahela.  At the point, they join to form the Ohio, which eventually empties into the Mississippi.

Do both the Allegheny   and the  Monongahela come out of West Virginia? 

I know the  "New River'  from West Virginia flows into one of these.

The "Mon" originates from the Cheat Lake in WV, I believe.  The Allegheny originates up north, in the Allegheny Reservoir, which straddles the PA/NY border.
