38 pieces of Ebony, Walnut, and Oak. Finished size is 16"x13.5". The toenails and nose were painted because I could not find any wood dark enough for that. The mouth line and whiskers were burned. A 'No-No' I realize that, but that's the way I did this one.

What a fantastic quality job you've done to this dobe, trevor.so realistic in everyway.I especially like the true to life colored wood you chose.this one stand alone as the best of the month intarsia here at ssv if my opion counts,lol!You got a knack for getting things right on the money.I,m anxious to see the next piece of work your going to do.This ones hot! :)

Thanks, all of you, for your kind comments. Kevin, you've made me blush with your kind words. Yes, Grandpa, I think I'm hooked on intarsia and wanting to start another intarsia project in the next few days. I received an email yesterday from a total (lady) stranger who saw my blog. She has been scrolling for years and she also teaches scroll saw seminars at my local Lee Valley store. I asked her to let me know when she's doing another seminar, as I'm wanting to attend. Have a great Super Bowl weekend y'all.
