daw44 Posted December 18, 2019 Report Posted December 18, 2019 My 15-year old daughter and I created a book of patterns for scrolling animal board puzzles. I thought I would share it with everyone in hopes that some are interested (or know someone who might be interested). The link for the book is https://www.amazon.com/dp/167116296X/. The story behind the book... Each year our family cuts out puzzles to give to local children and those in need. Traditionally, I have cut out the puzzles, and the rest of the family helps paint them (kids are now good enough to help with cutting too). I only had a few puzzle patterns and couldnt' find any others to purchase or to use. My daughter is quite artistically talented and so she started designing patterns. After designing just over 20, we decided to put them in a book. Any money we raise will go to my daughter's college fund...and she can say she published a book! It's been a fun process, and we are most grateful that we now have more patterns to make for our Christmas tradition! We love cutting out the patterns, painting the puzzles, and then giving them to others. We hope you enjoy them as much as we have. amazingkevin, OCtoolguy, meflick and 1 other 3 1 Quote
bandaideman Posted December 19, 2019 Report Posted December 19, 2019 Very talented, I could see these being a hit in Childrens hospitals or day cares. daw44 and OCtoolguy 2 Quote
daw44 Posted December 20, 2019 Author Report Posted December 20, 2019 Thanks Bandaideman! They have done well in church nurseries. You do have to have kids old enough not to swallow little pieces. John B and OCtoolguy 2 Quote

daw44 Posted December 23, 2019 Author Report Posted December 23, 2019 Thanks John B! If you have suggestions for other patterns, we are all ears. My daughter had so much fun making this and we have sold a few copies of the book that we might make another. OCtoolguy and John B 2 Quote
