tomsteve Posted January 10, 2020 Report Posted January 10, 2020 great stuff. i REALLY like this comment: When you underprice your work: You undervalue those who price their work at the proper retail price. Instead, when sellers unite and price their work thoughtfully, the entire tribe benefits. (Insert happy face here!) another good source for pricing work is the book:"The Woodworkers Guide To Pricing Your Work." https://www.amazon.com/Woodworkers-Guide-Pricing-Popular-Woodworking/dp/1558707379 BadBob, kmmcrafts and sst17 3 Quote
kmmcrafts Posted January 10, 2020 Author Report Posted January 10, 2020 I like this part... To help bring this strategy down to practice, I like to envision the dollar amount I’m considering for my new offer + ask myself: How will this idea improve my customers’ lives? What is the improvement worth to them? I then look at the price tags of aspirational competitors + slightly adjust up or down. Notice how I didn’t say current competitors. and to add to that.. if you price at the same as your competitor.. then your competing for the same customers.. For online selling.. taking a little extra time to create awesome photos goes a long way.. Many folks only put up one picture. It take very little extra time to take several shots at different angles etc.. and can make the difference in the prices you get.. BadBob 1 Quote
