  1. This anniversary sign that I created was my most satisfying project of the past year. A friend had a special saying they wanted created to hang in there bedroom and I designed it, cut each letter with the scroll saw, sanded each letter, painted all of the letters and finally glued them to a sign board and trimmed it in antique barn siding.
  2. The motorcycle clock is from a pattern from Scroller. I designed the VW and Camaro for a customer and the blue car is a Mustang ornament I designed for a friend.
  3. Not the best picture but an Easter cross I recently completed. I believe it was a Sue Mey pattern I used.
  4. Hey everybody, I have a customer looking for a donkey head cutting. I have done some research but so far nothing. Does anyone know where I can get a pattern for a donkey head or seen one before? any help would be greatly appreciated!
  5. I have a customer who has asked me to design a silhouette of a sports car. The car will be designed in 5 pieces so that when it is hung you will see the car as well as the word for the type of car. I have attached the pattern below. They want the car cut from 1" material and they want to hang it approximately 1/2" off the wall. Is there a special hanger system to use that will allow me to have the 1/2" distance available? Everything I have ever done before I use sawtooth hangers or a wire hanging system (for signs an picture frames). I don't have any idea how to make something stick out from the wall. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  6. I had forgot that a couple of you who helped me find the font I needed asked to see the finished project. It is pictured below. It was a real hit and I have received 4 orders from people who were at the wedding and saw this sign!
  7. Thanks so much! I'll see if I remember how to download from there. Been awhile!
  8. Thanks for offering to help me. I’m attempting to make a plaque similar to the one below. I’m needing the name Pannell.
  9. I just got a request for a wedding sign. On this sign I will need to cut the couples name out and they would like a cursive font. I need help in finding a good cursive font to scroll. It can be challenging that's not a problem. What are your favorite fonts for cursive work?
  10. The pastor at our church asked me if I could design an Alleluia banner for our Easter service. This is what I came up with. I designed the pattern using Inkscape and cut it on my DeWalt scroll saw. It measures 19" x 19" and was cut from 1/4" oak plywood. I put a 1/4" birch backer behind it that I painted black. It was a hit when we unveiled it Sunday morning!

    Fire truck

The original was designed by Sue Mey. It was originally designed for a clock insert. I did some customizing to the original and added the names.
  12. I had a lady ask me to come up with a fire truck and attach her kids names on the bottom. This is what I came up with. She was very excited!
  13. So glad to hear you were able to spend time together. I have so many fond memories of projects with my grandparents. When I was that age I spent more time at there house than mine in the summer tinkering on projects. Weather woodworking, lawn work, gardening, hunting, fishing, exploring in the woods.... Special times! I imagine he will never forget this quality time together and he will always have a unique project to stir up those memories of you!
  14. Here’s one I did. I got the pattern from Scroller. The item #moe70 or just type in take time to pray.
  15. I am a huge fan of The Andy Griffith Show and years ago when I first started sawing I came across this pattern and I knew I had to purchase it. I have one hanging in my house and another in my shop. It is a great piece to get people’s attention. The cutting size is 8 x 11 and the finished frame measures 11 x 14. I cut it from 5/32 oak plywood and stained it golden oak and applied poly to it. I put black felt behind it to make the details pop out. The pattern was designed by Jeff Zaffino and I purchased it through Scroller LTD about 10 years ago. I cut this about 8 years ago using #2/0 reverse tooth blades in my DeWalt saw. I can’t get the hang of spiral blades.
