OzarkSawdust Posted January 10, 2020 Report Posted January 10, 2020 I thought I had this...but my "Birds of Paradise" font will not come up in Inkscape and I'm running short on time. I want to cut a sign from 1" Oak Last name "STARR" in New Times Roman First names "Jake & Barbara" in Birds of Paradise scalloped corners ( I need to do that on my sign as I think it looks more finished ) Like my sign in the picture...but names only...NO wedding date! It's for a next door neighbor back home and the guy that commissioned me didn't know the date. Thank you all so much! Quote

Just what I was wanting. When I opened it in Inkscape it wouldn't let me resize it. Keeping the proportions the same, how wide can you make it and still print on 1 piece of paper? Quote
JimErn Posted January 11, 2020 Report Posted January 11, 2020 the sign is presently at 8.5 long Download the pdf, when you go to the print dialog there is a field to enter the size, 110% etc in inkscape, with the png or pdf on screen, hit control D, then move the copy away from the original, you should be able to resize the copy OzarkSawdust 1 Quote

Russell 72 is typically the screen resolution for display, in the pdf copy the page size is standard letter size, the black border in the pdf copy is my default page display at 8x10 - I forgot to turn it off before saving Quote

I made mine a .jpg file, in Landscape Orientation. If you print this, you'll have to print it that way. Russell multitom, OzarkSawdust, frankorona and 1 other 4 Quote
