Newsawontheblock Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 In the process of selling my Excalibur-21 scroll saw. It’s a newer Chinese saw, very light use, and well cared for. Original Manuel, cord, foot pedal and stand. Will also included the cabinet. What should I list it for? Thank you for your help. (I also have the hold down foot, but I’m not convinced that’s a selling feature) OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 I can't help you on the price, but, wanted to say, I like the cabinet. Enclosing it is a great idea. The reason I don't like the stands that come with these saws it all the wasted space under the saw with an open stand. In a small shop like mine, ever square foot counts and everything I can do it with is on a cabinet with storage drawers and shelves underneath,. OCtoolguy and Newsawontheblock 2 Quote
amazingkevin Posted March 14, 2020 Report Posted March 14, 2020 I like saws half price, but they have battle scars on them and old. Yours is kept in a smokeless room with air-conditioning and dust collectors and not a scratch on it. Can,t do better unless it,s new.Don,t know what kind of garurantee the saw came with new. Yours I would ask top dollar for...more than half less than full price!!! OCtoolguy 1 Quote

Yeah, any extra space is nice, the cabinet really helps out for sure! OCtoolguy 1 Quote

OCtoolguy Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 I buy and sell a lot of stuff on C/L. Location is the key. I'm in So.Cal. If you are in a populated area, you have lots of eyes looking at your stuff. I recently bought a green EX21 that was made in Canada. Very lightly used. No stand, but had foot switch and a lot of good quality blades. I drove about a half hour to get it and paid $300. Then, last month I bought a green EX 16 that came with a few blades but nothing else. Very good condition. I had to drive about 2 hours each way to get it. $200. So, with that said, I'd look at what is available on both C/L and FB marketplace within a couple of hours of you. Around here, you might get $400 for what you have. Not more. I've watched a couple of other Excalibur saws, the Chinese made ones, that just sat for sale. They were both in the $500-575 area. I have no idea if they ever sold but they were on both venues for a long time. I guess it all depends on just how bad you want to sell your saw. If you want a quick sale I'd say $300-350 and signify that you are firm on that price. Good luck on it. Quote
