Miniature Birdhouses

During this time of isolation, I finished 4 Miniature Birdhouses.  The patterns are by Diana Thompson.  The birdhouses are made from Ash and the little birds from Purpleheart.

I really like those Denny. Which pattern book did you find those in. I looked up her patterns but she has more than one book. A bit expensive so I didn't want to get the wrong one

The pattern for these are found in CWWC May 2011 issue.  There are eight patterns. In the article.  She has many more.

I dilute 50% with alcohol.

I imagine the alcohol would have to be gin or vodka. Bourbon, brandy, or scotch would discolor the shellac. Unless of course, one would want to tint the shellac. Hmmmm.  Too bad it's only 9:30 AM here, otherwise I'd have me a shot and ponder clear or brown alcohol.

Hi John.  The publisher went bankrupt, so I doubt any magazines are available.  You might check the internet for issues.  I also found out that scrolleronline lists some.

Fun things to make quick that sell!!!

John if you go to WWW.scrolleronline.com and hit the 3D projects then hit all on the left side the birdhouse ornament patterns are there. I didn't search them all but there were a couple different sets that I saw. I believe they are the same ones.
